Hey! Thanks for visiting my blog. It’s my first one and I’m really enjoying it.
- A bit about me: I’m a Political Science and Journalism double major at the University of Connecticut. I currently write for the Daily Campus (Uconn’s newspaper) as a columnist. I hope to get a job after I graduate as a journalist and focus on current events/politics. I love to write, read, travel, spend time with friends and my boyfriend, go to the beach, listen to music, watch movies, and go boating. I’m also a diehard Boston Red Sox fan (my pretend husband is Jonathan Papelbon, greatest closer in baseball).
- Why I started a blog: “Citizen journalism” is on the rise…and I want to be a part of it! Blogs are a great way to get your views out there and get connected. Also, technology is changing the face of journalism. Maintaining a blog is a good way to keep up!
- What my blog is about: I like to address hot topics that are complex and debatable. Hence why I am “swimming in murky waters”. I know that I am a little fish in a big pond, though. In other words, I know that there are MANY other voices and opinions out there. Some are similar to mine, and some are very different. But I love to hear from everybody.
